SME roundtable on IPR in Hamburg, Germany

07/07/2010

The Hamburg Chamber of Commerce hosted and organised an SME roundtable regarding “Intellectual Property Rights in China”, which took place at the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday, 7 July 2010.

The roundtable provided an open exchange of experiences for SMEs and a sustainable network in matters of IPR, as well as encouraging the development of strategies for the protection of IPR.

As regards content of the roundtable the participants dealt with the conflict between the existing legislation regarding the protection of IPR in China and the lack of enforceability.

The background report of the workshop will be forwarded to the European Commission as recommendations for further developments regarding the protection of IPR.                                   Photo © Handelskammer/Zapf
